                                                         RESPIRATORY
                                 SYSTEM

How does it work ?
The respiratory system is an important system like the others, each system has organs such as LUNGS.
The lungs make an exchange of gases. When breathing the air flows through the inside of your nose, advances towards the trachea and enters the lungs because the bronchial tubes are divided into increasingly thin bronchial tubes. At the end of the bronchi there are air pockets called alveoli that pass oxygen into the bloodstream. Red blood cells carry oxygen, these cells are red, but when they give oxygen take a more dull color.
what happens in the lungs?
1 Blood containing carbon dioxide enters the lungs.
2 Carbon dioxide passes into the blood to the avollos.
3 Oxygen passes from the alveoli to the blood
4 the blood that carries oxygen returns to the heart, ready to embark on a new journey.

ILLNESSES?
Asthma: is a disease caused by inflammation in the respiratory tract. It usually happens with allergies, infections and pollution
bronchitis: it happens when the mucous membrane that protect the lungs becomes inflamed. It causes swelling that prevents the air from passing.
Emphysema:is the set of air in the tissues of the body, evolves slowly over the years and has no cure. the smoke of the cigar damages the sacks of air therefore smoking is bad
CURIOSITIES:
Hiccup occurs when the diaphragm contracts suddenly. It interrupts the mechanism and makes you take a deep breath. The American Charles Osborne has the world record of hiccup lasted 68 years hipó 430 million
every second 2 million red blood cells are made and die the same amount. For every 950 red blood cells there are 2 white blood cells.
