Respiratory sistem

                                    Main fuctions:

* The respiratory system is responsible for capturing oxygen and eliminating carbon
 dioxide.
 *Breathing is an involuntary and automatic process in which oxygen is extracted from the
 inspired air and gases that are not needed with the inspired air are expelled.

                                   Parts of this system:

* Mouth and nose:
 Air enters into the body throught the mouth and trought the nose.
* Vocal cords:
As air passes our vocal cords , they vibrate and they are neccessary to us to speak.
*Pharynx:
  Is a tube-shaped structure that helps to breathe .Is located in the neck.
The pharynx it's covered with mucous membrane.
*Larynx:
It is in the anterior part of the neck and borders the upper part of the trachea. Known as a phonation organ, the larynx responds to the needs of voice and phonation by containing the vocal cords.
*Trachea:
Is a long and rigid tube that connects our mouth and to our two bronchi.
Air tavels down the trachea into the bronchi.
*Brochi:
 There are two smaller tubes that connect the trachea to the lungs.
*Lungs:
 There are two large bags that are connected to the bronchi .
The bronchi branch into millions of bronchioles that are small tubes that are in the lungs.
*Bronchioles:
 There are small tubes inside the lungs. At the end of each bronchiole, there are tiny sacs called alveoliThe air that we breathe in goes into that tiny sacs and then passes into the blood vessels which surround them.

(There are more or less all the parts.)

Relationship with other sistems:
*Digestive system and respiratory system:
 Food comes to the human body where it is waste in the digestive system in order to obtain nutrients that are absorbed in the small intestine and pass into the blood.
*Circulatory system and respiratory system:
 When we breathe we are intrudicing several gases like oxygen.
 When the air we breathe reaches the alveoli , oxigen goes to the blood and is transported by the arteries to the cells of the muscles.
The muscles teke the oxygen and return the carbon dioxide to the blood that flows through the veins to the heart .
 When the heart recives blood with carbon dioxide, it sends it to the lungs, the alveoli absorb it and the lungs expire, it is when we eliminate carbon dioxide.
 *Excretory and respiratory system:
The digestive system provides nutrients, the respiratory, oxygen necessary to extract energy from them through oxidation reactions.The excretory system eliminates waste and the circulatory system distributes all above.

Illenses that can affect to my system:
* Asthma:
Asthma is a disease of the respiratory system characterized by a chronic inflammation of the airway, whose clinical manifestations are variable over time and consist of wheezing, respiratory distress, chest tightness and cough.
* Lung cancer:
Lung cancer is a group of diseases resulting from the malignant growth of cells of the respiratory tract, in particular lung tissue. It is one of the most frequent cancers in the world.
* Pneumonia:
Pneumonia is a disease of the respiratory system that consists of inflammation of the alveolar spaces of the lungs, most of the time pneumonia is infectious, but this is not always the case.
