THE ELEPHANTS

CHARACTERISTICS:
There are two species, the African elephant and the Asian elephant.
An Elephant's trunk is the part more characteristics of the body. Elephants use their trunk to drink, smell, and to spray themselves for a bath. Elephants also use their long trunks to food.
The elephants are herbivores.
Elephants are considered very intelligent. 
They can Know the smell and the voices of other elephants, It has the biggest brain among land animals.

FUN FACTS ABOUT ELEPHANTS 
  • The elephants don't really like peanuts. 
  • An elephant can to recognize itself in a mirror. 
  • They use some tools and travel hundred of Km in the year .
  • An elephant's skin can be hard but it is also very sensitive. 
  • They have poor vision, but excellent hearing and sense of smell. They can hear another elephant in a distance of about 8 km. 
  • The adult male elephants live alone but females live in family groups , the oldest female call the matriarch.











KINGDOM:
Elephants live in tropical and subtropical regions of Africa and Asia, especially in savannas and forests, but also live in deserts and mountains
TYPE:
Mammals.
RELATIONS SHIPS:
  •  INTRASPECIFIC-with other elephants
Elephants are very social like families. Celebrate births and show affection with their trunks. In the water they love to play games, even can cry with the death for another elephant.

  









    
  • INTERSPECIFIC:
The Elephant has no real natural enemies. They are docile animals and can be live  with other large mammals and birds, relatively peacefully.
