I choose poppy because is my favourite flower

 CHARACTERISTICS

1. Poppies are herbaceous plants, often growth for their colorful flowers. 
2. One species of poppy is used for medice.
3. Poppies come in a wide array of colours from white through palest yellows, salmon and pinks, but the most well known is the red.
4. The flowers are cup-shaped with five or more large petals.
5. The capsule is surrounded by clusters of long.

 FUN FACTS

1. The seedpod or fruit of the poppy is the enlarged pistil, wich swells as the flower matures, and  develops the seeds inside.
2. The corn poppy, imortalized in the poem "in Flanders Field", has been the symbol for fallen soldiers sinde World War I. 
3. Both England an Austalia venerate the poppy with similar celebrations to honor their colors.

    You can grow annual poppies from seed. When growing perennial popiies, you can grow them one of three ways: from seed, by division or from root cuttings. Poppies have large, papery flowers that bloom in spring and summer.
