WATER LILY

CHARACTERISITCS

• Water lily lives in lakes, ponds and streams.
• Frogs usually seat on them.
• They are water plants with leaves that float in the surface.
• Some leaves grow until 2 meters.

PARTS OF THE PLANT

• Leaves: are circular. They are green and sometimes purple.
• Flower: they are solitary. They have a lot of colors and they give us fragrant.
• Fruits: usually is a spongy round berry and they have edible seeds.
• Stem: the stem is a long structure. Grow underground and then goes to the surface of the water.

REPRODUCE

• Water lily reproduce by seeds.
• New plants grow from the underground roots called rhizomes
• Water lilies are female because they reproduce by ovules or seeds.

• The Egyptian lotus have white flowers that bloom in the night and stay open on the day.
