Diamond is known to make and use as decorative thing since ancient times; it arrived from India.

The hardness of diamond and its high dispersion of líght, give the diamond its characteristic Fire. 
Other characteristics, is presence or lack of fluorescence, affect the desirability and trus the value of a diamond used for jewelry. 
The dispersión of white light into spectral colors Is the primary gemological characteristic of gem diamonds. There are four characteristics know as the basic descriptors of diamonds: carat, cut, color and clarity. 

The Carat weight measures the mass of a diamond. 
The clarity is a measure of internal defects of a diamond called inclusions. 
A chemically pure and structurally perfect diamonds is perfectly transparent with no hue, or color.
The cut of a diamond describes the manene in which a diamond has been shaped and polished from its beginning form as a rough stone to its final gem proportions.
