Silver by Paula Castro

Silver

  • Silver is a precious metal often found mixed together with lead, copper and other minerals in rocks.
  • It's the least expensive precious metal, often worth less than 1/50 the price of gold.

Uses

  • Silver has been used to make fine pieces of jewelry, coins, utensils and various pieces of art.
  • Currently, silver is also used in dentistry, electronics, photography, mirrors and some industrial applications.

Characteristics

  • It's very ductile and malleable.
  • It has the highest electrical conductivity of all metals, even higher than copper.
  • It has the highest thermal conductivity of any metal.

And now, watch this video that I've made with my grandad (the super artist!)
