This experiment is about heat:

Materials:

1 plate

a transparent glass

a candle (should measure less than the glass)

milk

a lighter

and an adult

Steps:

1st step:

fill the plate with milk and put the candle in the center.

2nd step:light the candle.

3rd step:with the lit candle put the glass on it.

What happen?

We saw how the milk got into the glass and the candle out.

Why?

The fire of the candle has consumed all the oxygen that was in the glass and needs to burn.

Without air inside the glass the preassure was going down and it became empty as the atmospheric pressure from outside is greater the water is ushed inside the glass to fill the vacuum.
