The experiment :"the broken pen"

Materials:

* A glass full of water

*  A pen 

How can we do this experiments? It is very easy , try to do it.

•  First, you introduce the pen into the glass of water in vertical position  then you can see the pen  in the same position.
• Secondly , if you put the pen distorted then you can see the pen broken .

Why do you see the pen broken??

It is  because of the refraction of the light . The refraction of the light is the light direction  changes when the light  passes from the air to the wáter that is why you can see the pen broken.
