ROSE BUSH
Main characteristics: The rose bush is a perennial plant and it has prickels. The head of a rose flower is rounded and has radial symmetry. The flowers can have diferents sizes , shapes and colors.
The roses are a symbol of a many celebrations and also a symbol of affection.There are more or lest 100 species of roses. The rose bush is protected with prickels. The roses need four principal elements to survive: minerals, water, carbon dioxide and sunlight.
Parts of my plant: Rose flower is made up of several parts: Stamen, Anther, Filament, Pistil, Stigma, Style, Ovary and Ovule.The stem is the part of the plant whose functions lead sap through the vessels and serves as support to the leaves and flowers.The function of roots is to collect water and minerals and transport them to the leaf.
Polination: The bees catch the pollen and then stay in stigma later the pollen falls in to the ovaries and the ovules. They can be two types of pollination: Cross pollination and Self pollination.
Fun facts: Eliminate the leaves that fall to avoid the spread of plagues and diseases. And with petals of roses ice creams can be done.In the weddings, the guests throw petals of rose to the boyfriends. The roses can be of different colors, red, yellow, white....My favorites are the blue ones....I saw them in the rose garden of Madrid.
