THE   ORCHIDS

          The Orchids are plants with bigs and beutiful flowers. They lives around all the world,specially in the tropics because they have a great capacity of adaptation.

           The orchids are  a big group of plants. Some of them have a few milimeters of lenght and other reach a lenght of several meters and weight a lot of kilograms.

Likewise their flowers can be so small than you can´t see them, and in other cases the flowers size twenty of centimeters.

             The orchids are angiosperms plants and they have the bigger variety of flowers.They are herbaceous an perennial plants and they can grew in the floor or over the trees (epiphical) and sometimes creepers.

             They live a lot of of years, sometimes so much like the trees where they live.

             Depending where they live, their stems, roots and leaves are very differents as well as their flowers. This characteristics depend on pollinators: birds, insects or bats.

               They have a great ecological importance, and they are very useful for humans. Some species like vanilla are cultivated with economical purposes. But they are cultivated principally for their great beauty. They are useful like decoration.

              They are reproduced by seeds in wild life, but the humans reproduce them by cuttings. 

                 In the next time lapse video, we can see some  orchidea types  in comparation with other flowers. We can see the the unique charactistics of orchids, their petals, very differents; their stems, stamens and pistils, leaves,...etc.
