Characteristics:The members of the rose genusare characterized with pinnate leaves with 3 or more leaflets,in odd numbers.Roses are flowering plants,in nature with 5 petals.

The parts:The leaves of the majority of rose species are about 5-10 centimeters long,with leaflets and basal stipules.Petalson the other handare the colored parts that attracts birds and bees for pollination.Sepals are the green,leaf-likecovering that take care of the rose bud before it sprouts.The stamen is referred to as the male part of the rose.Pistil is the female part of the rose flower and is composed of the stigma. 

Reproduction:The method of asexual reproductionto use will differ dependingupon the type of rose.There are 3 methods of asexual reproduction of roses:softwood rooting,hardwood rooting and bud grafting.
