TO KNEEL, TO WINK AND TO CLAP

Bones are rigid and strong and they are part of the skeleton. There are bones in all shapes and sizes.
The adult skeleton has 205 bones. If you want to learn a lot about bones you have to study osteology. A person expert in bones is called osteologist.
We can move our body with the help of the MUSCLES. They are very important.

These are my 3 actions:

   1)  To Kneel
When we kneel (in the Church, for example) our knees are on the ground. We use the gluteus muscle, rectus femoral, quadriceps and popliteo.

   2)  To Wink
It is to close and open one eye very fast. We use the orbital bone, the orbicularis oculi and the levator palpebrae.

3) To Clap
It's to strike the palms of the hands together with a explosive sound. Each hand has 27 bones. Eight of the 27 bones are in the wrist. There are five bones in each palm. Our palm have many muscles, too.
When we use our hands, the bones and muscles work together.
