Amphibians
Amphibians
Amphibians have back bones and are cold-blooded.
They are called amphibians because they live in water and land.
Amphibians (like frogs) lay eggs in water they look like tiny balls
of jelly.
After about two weeks tadpoles leave the eggs. They eat with their lips and teeth. They also breathe trough tiny gills.
About ten-weeks-old tadpoles grow forelegs an their tails become sorter.
Now are tiny frogs which can leap aut of the water and breathe
air.
Other amphibians are the fire salamander, the axolotl and toads.
