THE INSECTS

Inects are the biggest group of invertebrates and they belong to the arthropods.

CHARACTERICS

They have an outside skeleton called exoskeleton. Exoskeleton is an external frame made of chitin with flexible joints.

Insects have three body parts: head, thorax and abdomen.

In the head, they have got two eyes and two antennaes.
Antennaes and eyes are organs of sense.

In the thorax, they have got six legs and a lot of them have wings for example flies, ladybirds...

REPRODUCTION

Insects are oviparous, they come from eggs.

First they are larvaes and then become adults. This process called metamorphosis.

They eat everything, leaves, seeds, meat, other insects, dead bodies...

They live in all parts of world, air, sand, plants and water.

Some of them are very rare
