THE ROSE

THE ROSE

The rose belongs to the family Rosacea. There are over 100 species.
They have diferents sizes and shapes and are usually large and beautiful and their colours can be white, yellow, and red. Most species are from Asia, Europe, North America and northwest Africa.
The name rose comes from Latin rosa.

The leaves are born in the stem. In most species they are 5 to 15 centimetres.

The flowers of most species have five petals. Each petal is usually white or pink and in a few species yellow or red.

The roses need a minimum of 5 o 6 hours of full sun to be good.

Roses are one of the most beautiful and traditional flowers that you can have in your garden.

Roses are ornamental plants, they are a tipical gift in specials celebrations. They are, too, the symbol of love.

The are used too for commercial perfumery.

I like roses.
