THE TULIP

The tulip is an original plant of Turkey.

Is everlasting and bulbous plant.

It stands firm in autumn and blooms in spring.

It is a nice and beautiful flower and has a great variety of colors.

Becomes great in the gardens.

A height has from 30 to 60 cm.

It has many petals up and they form a narrow glass.

It has a very long stem.

The stem is simple (rarely branched) and underground in the basal portion.

The leaves are basal and cauline, spaced more or less rosette, linear, ovate or lanceolate.

The main country that is grown is Holland.

It takes two years to reach adult size bulbs.

There are more than 5000 kinds of tulips.

Has flat seeds.

The tulip has six stamens.
